Infrastructure

As a result of the Federal Aid Highway Act of 1956, Ohio began construction on over 1,500 miles of interstate.  On this map, you can see many of the intrastructural changes in the Columbus area from 1950 - 1997.  During the mid 1960s, Ohio was busy building Interstate 70 right through the center of Columbus and Ohio. Click here for a picture of I-70 being constructed through the east side of Columbus.
